Why 1.0 and What's Next?

The first release of Msty was released about 6 months ago and we have been working hard to make Msty better with each release. We have added so many features and improvements that we feel that Msty is now ready for a 1.0 release.

We also paid some technical debt this time and made some architectural changes that will make it easier for us to add new features and improvements in the future. Performance has improved already because of this refactoring.

We have so many more features and improvements planned for the future, and we can't wait to share them with you. To be honest, 1.0 just a number, and it doesn't mean much. Msty has always been stable and fixing bugs had always been our top priority. So it isn't like it was very stable before, and now it is more stable. But we are very excited to have reached this milestone, and we hope you are too.

As planned before, we are now thinking of introducing some advanced paid features in the upcoming releases. We are still working on the details and we will share more information about this in the future.

But don't be worried, this doesn't mean an end to Msty as you know it. We will be providing the same great features and improvements that you have come to expect from Msty, and we will continue to listen to your feedback and make Msty even better.

The features that are in Msty right now will always be free and we will continue to add new features and improvements to the free version as well. We want to make sure that Msty is accessible to everyone, and we will continue to provide a free version of Msty with all the features that you need to get started with Msty.

If we believe that a new feature would benefit a large number of users, we'll add it to the free version. Some of those features on our radar right now are remote Ollama service management, revamped Model Hub, Fabric integration, backup/restore/export, etc.

Advanced features will be for those who want to take their Msty experience to the next level, etc. and are willing to pay for it. And we will make sure that the pricing is fair and reasonable, and that you get great value for your money. Your support will help us keep Msty running and growing, but we'll only ask for it if you are getting value out of it.
