Msty 1.1
We're excited to announce the release of Msty 1.1! This release introduces unique features, improvements, and bug fixes that make Msty even better than before. We've been working hard to bring you the best possible experience, and we're thrilled to share what's new in Msty 1.1.
Delve Mode and Flowchat
Delve mode is a feature unique to Msty. It allows you to explore terms or phrases in the response by automatically asking the model to generate more information about them and presenting the response in a split chat. This is especially useful when conducting research.
When using Delve mode, it can be easy to get lost in the many branches of information generated in separate splits. While having all the information in one place is beneficial, managing all the splits can be overwhelming. To help visualize the information better, we have introduced a new feature called Flowchat, which displays all the splits as a graph on a canvas that you can pan and zoom to explore all generated information.
We also took it a step further by making it easy to visualize another feature of Msty—the message branching flow. This is particularly useful for seeing how conversations have evolved and how responses are generated. Give it a try and let us know what you think! Watch a video on how to use Delve mode and Flowchat here.
Workspaces
Workspaces is a new feature that allows you to organize your chats and data into different categories. This is particularly useful when you have numerous chats and want to group them based on various projects or topics. It’s also helpful if you want to isolate certain chats from others—perhaps you're working on a confidential project that should not mix with other discussions or want to keep personal chats separate from work-related ones.
Additionally, if you wish to sync your chats and settings across different devices, Workspaces addresses this need as well. Watch a video on how to use Workspaces here.
Licensing
Msty now requires licensing if used for commercial purposes. If you're using Msty for personal use, you can continue using it for free without restrictions.
We've also introduced a one-time license for those who want to support Msty's development while gaining exclusive access features like early access to new tools and an exclusive Discord channel. This guarantees access even if we decide to implement paid features in the future. So grab it before we change our mind :)

Fabric Prompts and other prompts improvements
You can now import Fabric prompts directly into Msty with just one click. Fabric prompts are detailed collections covering various topics such as:
- Pulling out the most engaging segments from YouTube videos and podcasts
- Crafting an essay in your unique style based on a single idea
- Condensing complex academic articles into simpler summaries
- Generating precisely tailored AI art prompts for a written work
- Evaluating content quality to determine if it's worth your time to read or watch entirely
- Providing summaries of lengthy, tedious materials
- Clarifying code concepts for you
- Transforming poor documentation into effective guides
- Developing social media posts from any type of content input
- And many more
You can also now import other prompts from a local directly directly into Msty.
Use any embedding or vision model
Previously, only our handpicked models were available for embedding or vision tasks within Msty; however, now you can assign any accessible model for these purposes. Keep in mind that this doesn't mean any model is suitable for every purpose—you still need to ensure that each model fits its intended task.
Plenty more
There are plenty more features, improvements, and bug fixes in Msty 1.1! We've made it possible to copy-paste images directly from the clipboard, dock split chats, set GPU layers, adjust num_ctx settings, customize font sizes, among others. Check out the full release notes here.
We hope you enjoy using Msty 1.1 as much as we enjoyed building it! If you have any feedback or suggestions, please let us know—many features introduced here lay the foundation for future enhancements. We have exciting developments planned ahead and can't wait to share them with you! Also, we've hired a new team member dedicated to shipping features faster while improving app quality—stay tuned!
